Freedom Center Ministries, INC.
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,
The quick year of 2011 has come and gone…as you read this we are in 2012.
Now, take a breath and reflect on God’s blessings. Our’s are too many to count…He meets the need and gives more. He is a GOOD God!! It was an exceptional year as mission teams served in Eastern Kentucky.
As God the Father leads in 2012: pray how and where He can use you and your church family on mission with Him. As you respond to Acts 1:8, when the Holy Spirit comes upon you…be my witneses where you live and where you GO! The harvest is white…will you labor for the Lord?
The Freedom Center Ministries December give-away was an amazing way to receive God’s blessings. As we supplied the folks their needs with a generous heart…God blessed the ministry abundantly. One lady reponded to us with a gracous look of surprise…when we said, God has blessed you today there is no donation needed for your items. Some would say “thanks that was much needed, money is tight.” The give-away gave us another way to share: Jesus’ special gift of Eternal Life.
Freedom Center Ministries partnered with a local project "Empty Stocking Project" for Christmas 2011 in 30 areas of Harlan County. Many volunteers (approx. 80) served through the process most were local folk and missionaries. The 550 families were blessed with a huge food box and gifts for the children. It was a blessing to be a part of a great project: as we gave, prepared, delivered, prayed, and witnessed for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The director of this project was one of the 52 salvations the Holy Spirit saved in 2011.
Robin and I had a blessed time as we celebrated the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ the Son of the Almighty God. The Name above all names: King of kings and Lord of lords. He blessed us in SC with: His sunshine, good time with family and friends, good coastal food, and golf. We were blessed to be in several churches to worship and to share about Appalachian missions. FCM received donations from individuals and churches throughout South Carolina. One young boy touched my heart after I shared how FCM ministered to the folks in Eastern Kentucky. He came up to me and gave me his coat and said, give it to someone in need.
2012 Project
Aside from the projects FCM does on a regular basis: the daily operations of the shop, Bible fellowships, haircuts, back to school week, etc….
The year 2012 we will do it again “Paint the Town” project. In 2011 four families were thankful and proud of their painted homes. There are many run down houses in Lynch that elderly folks are living in. They are not able to maintain their homes nor can they afford to pay anyone else to do it. We feel lead to lift their spirits by painting the outside of their homes. All the while sharing the Good News and loving them with the love of Jesus. If your church is interested in being a part of this ministry just let us know and we will arrange it. This will run April thru October 2012.
