The Tulip Trees, flowering plants, and food gardens have grown beautifully with God’s blessings… the sunshine and rain. The May thunderstorms and rains have come and gone! Many volunteer mission teams have come and gone, the volunteers have encouraged us with blessings, and they have served our Father as they served His people. As God’s volunteers come to serve, the local missionaries are renewed in His strength.

Psalm 28:7a The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped.

Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ we appreciate and thank you for your service with His ministries in Eastern Kentucky.

The Three Forks Baptist Association Hazard, KY gave the Kentucky MSC Missionaries a birthday party on May 1st. The missionaries had a grand time, as we fellowshipped and played KBC/NAMB jeopardy…each received a birthday cake and gifts. The TFBA encouraged us with love and prayers.

The week of May 11th Woodford Christian School Versailles, KY (seventh grade class) served with their teacher and their parents. The students and adults shared Jesus’ love at Freedom Center with Bible study and song. They moved summer and winter clothes boxes from warehouse to the shop…they did community landscaping: cut trees, hedged bushes, mowed grass and painted doors. Those young people gave us hope for the next generation…with servant hearts and willing to work.

Cumberland Missionary BC Cumberland, KY served the week of May 17th with Bible study, sang songs, and stocked the shop. They have been such a blessing…as they serve year round.
On Monday May 24th an awesome team from FBC Old Hickory, TN rolled into Kentucky with a hundred plus trail/tennis shoes. The local folk came into Freedom Center Tuesday and Thursday for shoes…as the word spread throughout the hollers…new faces appeared. The Good News was shared and we heard some “Grand Ole Opry” Gospel. The tears flowed down our faces as Joelon blessed us with words and song. We praised our Lord for “Soles for Souls” that supplied the shoes.

Through thunderstorms and hard rain on May 28th Six Mile BC, Six Mile, SC arrived safe in Lynch. They said God gave them a lighting show! The team did some carpentry, electrical work and mowed grass at the mission house…the ladies sorted and organized clothing at FC shop and warehouse.

Last October a lady served with her Western Kentucky church at FCM. When she returned home to Bowling Green…the Lord continued to speak with her to “GO” serve with FCM in Eastern Kentucky. Linda arrived Friday May 28th in obedience to God’s calling to serve Him along side us. We are excited and thankful to have some permanent help. Her stories of how God is working in her life are very exciting. Please keep Linda in your prayers.

2 Corinthians 13:14 “The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.” Amen
